Kissimmee, FL Police SGT. Richard "Sam" Howard

Richard Samuel Howard III, or as most of us have come to know him, "Sam."

 

Sam was born and raised in North Kissimmee and attended Osceola High School.  After graduating, Sam enlisted in the Army where he honorably served The United States in Iraq.

 

Upon his return to home, Sam still felt the strong urge to serve, so he became a police officer in the City of Kissimmee, Florida where he began his life.

Pierce County, WA Sheriff Deputy Daniel McCartney

Daniel Alexander McCartney was raised in Loyalton, California, and participated in Boy Scouts and several community activities. He graduated from Loyalton High School where he played baseball, basketball, and football. On September 10, 2002, Daniel enlisted into the Navy and went on to serve the Navy in Everett, Washington, Great Lakes, Illinois, San Diego, California, and set sail aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln. 

SGT La David Johnson

La David Terrence Johnson was born in Miami Gardens, Florida, to Samara Johnson and Terrance McGriff. In 2010, Johnson graduated from Miami Carol City Senior High School and joined a mentoring program called the 5000 Role Models of Excellence. This program prepares African American children for college, vocational school, or the military.

Cowlitz County, WA Sheriffs Deputy Justin DeRosier

Justin DeRosier was born on January 28, 1990, in Kailua, Hawaii, to parents Neil and Kelly DeRosier. He attended Kelso public schools and graduated in 2008 from Kelso High School. Justin played sports as a child but was particularly fond of law enforcement. Everyone who knew him also knew that he would one day end up working in the law enforcement community. 

U.S Army, Jonathan P. Herst

Jonathan Herst is currently a member of the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team (WWAST). As a college football player and the 2 year captain of the college baseball team and prior to enlisting in the US Army in 2001, athletics and competition were everything to me. Since losing my left leg (BK) to IED in Mosul, Iraq in August 2005, I have been provided excellent health care and have been offered several "athletic prosthetic legs" however

Leonard Anderson, US Air Force Staff Sgt.

United States Air Force Tech Sgt Leonard Anderson enlisted into the US Air Force in July 2002 as a Security Forces member. In May 2006, he retrained to become a Military Working Dog Handler. Sgt Anderson was stationed at Malmstrom AFB, MT in the 741st Missile Security Forces Squadron working as a convoy response force member and fire team leader. He was then stationed at Eglin AFB in the 96th Security Forces Squadron as a Military Working Dog Handler.

U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant August O'Niell

On 16 May 2015, during the 2nd Annual 4 The Fallen Softball event at the Delcastle Softball Complex in Wilmington, Delaware, 4 The Fallen publicly recognized Air Force Staff Sergeant August O'Niell for his sacrifice to our Nation!

U.S. Marine Corps MSgt William "Spanky" Gibson

4 The Fallen's Jaime Fregozo publicly recognized U.S. Marine Corps MSgt William "Spanky" Gibson at the ASA Convention in Oklahoma City, OK, on 10 November 2013.

Master Sergeant William Spanky Gibson enlisted in the Marine Corps May 29th 1989 after graduating from Pryor Senior High School in Pryor, Oklahoma. He attended the School of Infantry and was ordered to 1st Reconnaissance Battalion to begin training as a Reconnaissance Marine. While at 1st Recon Battalion, Spanky deployed in Operation Desert Storm/Shield, Operation Sea Angel (Bangladesh), and Operation Restore Hope (Somalia ’92-93).

U.S Army Ranger, Staff Sergeant Jason B Davis

U.S Army Ranger, Bronze Star Medal Recipient, Staff Sergeant Jason B Davis served 8 years with great distinction in the 75th Ranger Regiment, primarily with the 2nd Ranger Battalion (2/75) out of Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM).  He conducted five Combat deployments in support of the GWOT, while serving with 2nd Ranger Battalion.  All five of his rotations were in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

U.S Army, SFC James F. Grissom

James Grissom graduated from Mt. Eden High School in 1999 and attended college at the Art Institute of San Francisco, earning his Associates Degree in Computer Animation. He enlisted in the United States Army in June 2003, under the 18 x-ray Special Forces Enlistment Program. After graduating from the Special Forces Qualification Course in October, 2005, he was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
